Dr. Garcia joined The Women’s Health Group in 2012 and became a partner in 2018. She loves the field of obstetrics and gynecology because she appreciates the comprehensive care of women, beginning with pediatric gynecology through childbearing and into menopause. Dr. Garcia enjoys getting to know her patients and helping guide them to make informed decisions about their health. Her particular interest is in minimally invasive surgery.
The ability to be out playing the mountains or hiking around a lake in just a few minutes. I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing and skiing.
Spending time with my husband and 2 children. Cycling, weight lifting and spending time with friends. When I have extra time, which is rarely, I love knitting, reading, quilting and crochet.
I realized during my medical school training how important it is to me to get to know my patients and develop relationships. The beauty of being an OB/Gyn is the ability to care for women from adolescence, through young and middle adulthood (whether that means pregnancies and delivery or contraception) and then on into menopause. I enjoy taking care of women through difficult times as well as the joyful.
I’m proud that my training has made me confident in caring for a myriad of conditions – adolescent gyn, higher risk pregnancies, complicated contraception, minimally invasive surgery and many gynecologic office procedures which makes me a well rounded OB/Gyn.
It’s truly important that I provide patients with evidence based education and counseling to make informed decisions about their health.
